We rented this DVD and are now planning to buy it. My 6 year old and 22 month old love it, the three of us do all the fun but gentle yoga moves together and the hip hop sound track is perfect for the children to really have fun. I would highly recommend this as an excercise for all young children. It is only about 25 minutes long but it is just as fun to do it twice if you're feeling energetic.

Do you want yoga, or do you want a funny little story with a few yoga-likes postures in it to amuse your kids while they watch a DVD? I get a bit tired of people inventing their own postures; until I'd seen this, I'd no idea that someone had invented a "naughty monkey" posture. Call me an old stick-in-the-mud, but I think that yoga postures have been practised for 2000 years because they work. Everyone and his mate seems to want to invent his or her own interpretation, then film their own DVD of it.
So it's not really yoga; it's a bit of exercise with two wacky dancers and a hippy guru, plus some film of African animals and a bit of kooky animation: a short distraction for your kids while you're getting their tea ready. But if they like this, maybe they'll move on to being a bit more interested in the real thing.

I have to admit that I, as an adult, do not like this video at all. It does not look professionally made and I cringe when I see the "guru" of a certain age... more like "new-age" (but not in a nice way)!. I give it its 3 stars because besides my thoughts on the video my children 6 and 4, love it and have learnt all of the moves and drive me crazy asking to watch it over and over again.
