1.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear, 2 Feb 2005
Inenvitable that the band's new-found popularity would result in this kind of product finding its way into the market.

Nice though the telling of the band's story is - nicer in fact than many documentaries - the promised interviews on the cover turn out to be a few snatched seconds down the telephone, possibly culled from radio interviews with ex-Beach Boy Brian, that probably amount to no more than one minute in total of the disc's playing time.

There are mentions of BW's recent issue of the long-lost SMiLE album so it's at least up-to-date but frankly it ain't worth your hard-earned money.

1.0 out of 5 stars This Is Not By The Beach Boys - No Way, 2 Nov 2007

Amazon guys this is a breach of the trades descriptions act.
1)It comes up under a 'music' search, the few chords supposed to be Beach Boys aren't even their tunes. There is no music here 'by The Beach Boys'.
2)There's hardly a minute of Brian Wilson responding to questions you don't hear, down what appears to be a poor quality telephone line. This hardly rates as 'Interviews'
I'd rate it NO STARS if the system would allow it, fans avoid and pass the word on.
