The user-friendly LVW-5045 is the next logical step in home video/audio recording and is packed with a vast array of features including:
Time Shift:
The advanced function "Time Shift" is featured on LVW-5045. It allows you to virtually "Freeze" a live broadcast when viewing is temporarily interrupted and "Un-freeze" it to continue viewing at your leisure.
Video Recording:
No need to worry about running out of recording space. With the built-in 160GB HDD (Hard Disk Drive), you can record up to 198 hours (in SLP mode) of quality video programs.
AllWrite Technology:
Introducing the world's 1st "AllWrite" technology that makes a DVD recorder with this capability to record on all types of recordable disc media (DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW or CD-R/RW discs) a dream-come-true.
Disc Backup:
You can backup the contents recorded on the built-in HDD to a disc media or vice versa. Simply press the COPY button on the remote control and the selected file can be copied to your desired destination.
DV Link:
Connect a DV Camcorder to the DV-Link (IEEE1394) port on this unit and you van record camcorder footages on a disc media or the HDD in high-quality digital video that lasts longer. Moreover, LVW-5045's remote control allows you basic controls over the DV Camcorder with on-screen control panel.
Easy Guider 2:
The intuitive user-friendly interface "Easy Guider 2" has made using this Recorder a piece of cake. The on-screen menu takes you through all the major functions available r and you barely have to reference the user's instruction book first. Recording has never been so easy!
Aside from being a first-rate DVD recorder, the LVW-5045 can also handle audio CDs as well as data CDs containing MP3, WMA or WAV audio files and JPG or BMP image files. And that's not all. Add to this Progressive Scan compatibility, VideoPlus, multiple recording modes, and editing tools that allow you to split or merge recordings, hide chapters and set thumbnail images for your recordings.
Although not mentioned in the user guide, the 5006 can be made multi-region* by pressing a few keys on the remote control. To do this, simply follow these instructions:
- Make sure DVD player is switched on with no disc in the tray
- Press setup on the remote control
- Highlight 'exit' and then press 2,9,6,0 on the remote control
- Press right and press enter on "Region 2"
- Press right arrow again and select desired region (we recommend region free)
- Then exit
*Please note that your TV must be capable of displaying an NTSC signal to view Region 1 discs in colour.
