Loyal To The Game, 31 Dec 2004
If you thought Eminem's encore was a good album, then you will definitly enjoy his production on, 'loyal to the game.' It was always going to be hard for anyone to produce 2Pac's previously unheard material and Eminem and Afeni Shakur, with help from: the outlawz, G Unit, Nate Dogg, Jadakiss, Obie Trice, Dido and remarkably Elton John, have created a masterful album. It is not 'traditional' 2Pac, but almost a modern adaptation of his work to fit in to this modern era of hip/hop. For the fans of more classic Pac, there are the three remixes at the end of the album, that would fit in Pac's pre '96 albums. Outstanding songs include: Ghetto Gospel, Thugs Get Lonely Too and Hennessey. A modern hip/hop album that helps bring 2Pac to a modern audience.

good album, 13 Jun 2005
Tupac is such an inspiration to music this album proves it, so many songs on hear where you can listen to him pouring his heart out, the beats are okay, by Eminem I wish it had a bit more variety than the remixes, G_UNIT are the worst outfit to hit the rap scene,Jadakiss is wack, when they were the lox they went to Puffy and he turned them down, puffy aint stupid, then they turn ruff riders, I think all the wanna be pacs are on the set, I think they should release clean albums not for lyrics, but the album if don't wanna hear the latest album without the new vocals that would be useful as the message seems greatly distorted, my favourite songs Ghetto Gospel, Black Cotton, everyone keeps dissing Ghetto Gospel, but I love the simple message as its clear and an infant can understand it, a lot of lyricist boast about guns and all that bull but this album shows you the original and old pac before the death row ego period

Eminem's "Loyal To The Game", 1 Dec 2004
For 2pac's latest album, Eminem, who also did production on pac's last album "Resurrection", provides the beats for 13 of the 17 tracks. This proves to be both the best & the worst thing for "Loyal To The Game". Bland & repetitive production on tracks such as the albums 1st single "Thuge Get Lonely Too" & "Soldier Like Me" do nothing for the album. Through 50, Obie, D12 or even Em himself we have simply heard it all b4. Likewise guest appearances from shady/aftermath artists do even less for the album. "Loyal To The Game" feat. G-Unit & "Hennessey" feat. Obie Trice are 2 of the worst tracks here. The fact that some of the best tracks on the album are the tracks not produced by Em highlights this fact. The Scott Storch produced "Po Nigga Blues", Raphael Saadiq's "Crooked Nigga Too" & DJ Quik's "Loyal To The Game" are all stand out tracks. Nevertheless Eminem does have moments of brillance and the albums' best song "Ghetto Gospel" feat. Elton John is an example of this. Other good Em tracks include "N.I.G.G.A. feat. Jadakiss, "Who Do You Love", "Out On Bail" & "Don't You Trust Me", which uses another Dido sample. In summary, this is one of pac's better albums since his death & if you like Eminem you will certainly like "Loyal To The Game". However, if you are, like me, starting to get tired of Eminem this may not be the one for you. Nevertheless it is a good album & well worth a listen.
