Product Description

Product Description

Collision Course bring together two titans from their respective worlds in a one-off show recorded live in California earlier this year. Linkin Park and Jay Z performed live "mash-ups" of their work as explained in the accompanying DVD.

CD Description

Two giants of contemporary music teamed up for the first inMTV's "Ultimate Mash-Ups" series, inspired by the bootleg trend of mixing different songs together. After performing a concert in which they blended together each other's songs, Jay and the Park went into the studio and recorded polished versions of the resulting mash-ups. With a looser, more hip-hop feel than most rap-metal, it includes the single 'Numb/Encore'. The DVD features the original concert and in-the-studio footage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Collision Of Genres!!!, 29 Nov 2004
When I fist listened 2 this album it was like, wow!!! This music is amazin' Previously I never thought that remixes with very different music styles would really work. I have previously loved remixes like Linkin Parks Reanimation. This is so different though, the way in which all the tracks have been compiled. All the songs are still very destinctive to Linkin Park and Jay-Z but in the same time creatin the overall new form of music that is brilliant to listen to. All the songs are very well known by both Linkin Park and Jay-Z fans. It's a very fast paced album and it also very short running at only just over 21mins. but the quality of the collisions of these groups is superb and is worth every penny. Other then that I can't say much except that you really have to listen to it for yourself to find out what it really is like...

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!, 20 Dec 2004
By A Customer
I am amazed at how two very different artists have combined their music and produced this incredible album.
Its short but sweet but the songs are great!! I didnt really like either Jay-Z or Linkin Park before and when I heard the presenter of an urban music radio station introducing a Linkin Park song (Numb/Encore mix) i woz like "what?!" but I was dead impressed at what I heard. In fact, this album has opened my eyes to a whole new area of music. You won't be dissappointed at what you hear im nearly certain. Fantastic!
