    4.0 out of 5 stars Navman ICN510, 10 Jun 2005
On the whole it is a very good SatNav. It very small but has a big screen. It fits nicely into a shirt pocket and the mount is secure. It is well priced compared to other satnavs and comes with the ability to download points of interest. I have downloaded the position of GATSO cameras and Red light cameras. I am not one for breaking the law but it is a comfort to know you havent inadvertantly forgotton one. You get a nice warning sound when you approach a site. Another nice feature is that the unit can tell your speed and then warn you if you go over it. There are however some downsides. The four way toggle incorporates an enter button when you push. No matter how much I try I keep getting the up or down function when I try to push the button. This is really frustrating. My advice is get the optional remote. The sound could be better. The unit has locked up on me when I tried to upgrade the software involving an email to Navman. Useless at navigating in London. It will try and send you down no entries and NO lefts/right turns. It cannot process a new route fast enough in London so if you go wrong your buggered. However on the other routes I have used it for it has been spot on. Its like any technology, it is a tool not the answer to life the universe and everything!!!

I have now owned the navman for six months
Ease of use and the amazing accuracy with which it directs me to my appointments remove much of the stress from my working day. I have just returned from Portugal and it directed me around the Algarve with no difficulty. I recently visited friends in London and felt none of the usual stress of navigating my way through the capital. Having the unit is like having someone in the car with you who knows where you want to go and can guide you there every step of the way. If you take a wrong route ,or have to be diverted ,it will automatically recalculate your route in seconds and relentlessly guide you back on to the correct path. After struggling with maps and a-z guides for the last thirty years this is a gift. Three friends have bought them on my recommendation and have been equally pleased.

Lovely looking unit.If you are going to use this put it into the car a couple of minutes before you leave home to guarantee a quick gps signal.Ive had this unit for 3 months now and it has NEVER lost its satellite signal. You can hear the directions above your car stereo and the 3d images are so easy to read.Only gripe I would have is trying to download speed camera sites onto the unit, very long winded but not impossible. All my mates agree that it is by far and away the nicest looking unit on the market today
