4.0 out of 5 stars
The latest from WWE, 17 Nov 2004
It's been a few years since Volume 5 (they were still the WWF then), but now after a couple of spin-offs, Volume 6 arrives, and there's some long awaited themes on here.First, Motorhead's Evolution theme, a track I've waited two years to get a proper copy of, it sounds excellent on CD. Carlito Caribbean Cool's theme is alright, but not something I'd like to listen to on CD. Theodore Long's theme I'm not a fan of, and Christian's new theme sounds better in the arena. Other highlights on the album include the Undertaker remix, Eugene's theme (though I preferred his previous edit), Shelton Benjamin's theme and the SmackDown theme. John Cena has a preview from his upcoming album on here - it's as good as anything on Eminem's "Encore" - and the best theme on the CD, JBL's theme. However, there is a reason why there is a missing star - two missing themes. This album would have been perfect if it had included Edge's Alter Bridge theme and Randy Orton's Mercy Drive theme. I can understand why they aren't on here (Mercy Drive are currently without a record deal), but they're two of the best new themes in WWE, and they're sorely missed. Other than that, good album. The DVD's great too, the TitanTron videos are really up to date - there's even footage of events leading up to Taboo Tuesday. I just hope that we don't have to wait so long for Volume 7 so we can get those Edge and Orton themes...
