Its Tiger Woods to a Tee, 19 April 2005

Bought this game last week after much reading of reviews and posts from all over the net, most of them saying it wasnt worth buying, awful swing mechanism, sound and graphics, etc etc. Thinking tho, if this is Tiger Woods from EA? How bad could it actually be? My answer, not bad at all.The graphics were solid, obviously they were never going to be as detailed and smooth as the console versions, but they work well, i can still tell im playing at Sawgrass or St Andrews against Tiger Woods or Justin Rose and the whole game is easily distinguishable in Tiger Woods style (The Tiger Shot etc, are still all present) and it all adds up to an enjoyable experience. The Sound effects are a disaster however and the music isnt the greatest either, But the Swing mechanism works absolutely brillantly and is a worthy successor to the anologue stick. Once you know the feel of system, and can master the lie, wind strength/direction etc, its a satisfying thing when you can place the ball exactly where you want it using the stylus and a bit of thinking. This for me aswell as the quite large legeonds mode is what keeps me playing, and will do for some time yet. Overall a representation of the Tiger Woods genre and recommended, not highly, but definately recommended

Superb Game But......, 12 Feb 2006
I purchased this game after reading several reviews, despite most of the review being fairly negative and labelling this game as a mediocre title. Well, firstly i would have to admitt that after playing this game on the first few days, i began to agree with these comments. I began to slowly dislike the game due to one fault with the game, and that was the putting system. I became so frustrated with it that i continued to complain, but i did feel o.k knowing what i paid (well my mom did!!)However, after a few days i realised that the putting system was not the games fault but a rare fault of my own. I had previously completely ignored the "Caddy Tips" which are now an invaluable aid when it comes to putting. In conclusion, i believe that after learning about the caddy tips, this pushed the game upto one of the best in my collection (i've only got 3 games..) and therefore, i highley recommend this title. At first u may feel frustrated with this game, but (hence my title..) after learning how to properly play, i guarantee u will luv this game like i do.
If you do not luv it, let me know and i will personally give u a full refund as i am that confident u will find pleasure in playing this wonderful game that is GOLF!!

Good but not enough, 11 Jul 2005
This game is ok, the graphics are adequate, the controls are so so and the game itself is fine. But it lacks courses, golfers, decent make your own player functions and you can't buy any clothes or clubs! If you have this on ps2 or xbox then forget about getting on the ds, you'll be disappointed!! If you have never played it before and you like golf then it's a great little golf game to have on the ds, but there are better games than this to buy!!
