4.0 out of 5 stars Great button masher - but a bit hard!, 8 April 2005

Shoot the baddies, free the POW's, eat roast turkies & collect cards in the GBA version of the classic SNK arcade shooter with a sense of humour. You will be amazed at how much abuse GBA SP buttons will take. Especially if you hammer away with your index finger!

It's perfect for a quick blast but be warned.... you might see the words 'game over' more often then you are used to. This is a tough little game. The inifinite continues mean you shouldn't get to stuck, but using one looses you any bonus goodies you've collected in that round. BAH!

It features 5 levels of button mashing action and a couple of vehicles to control inc' a tank and a jet. The vehicles are the worst part of the game, but hey ho they add a bit of variety.

With only 5 levels it's a little bit short. But it takes a while to beat, particulalry the boss stages. There are 2 characters to control + a hard mode and lots of bonus cards to collect. So if you like shooters & busting open all the bonus features in a game it'll keep you quiet for ages.

Pay about £15 for it and it's a five star game, any more and it's 4 stars jus coz it's a lot of cash for 5 levels.

4.0 out of 5 stars One tough cookie, 11 Nov 2005
This is a great converstion of the Metal Slug series on the Neo Geo. I think the graphics are particulary outstanding. Its tough, real tough. but the learning curve is just right, meaning even the slightest advancements on each game keep you going. Infinite continues help, although in the long term this will probably affect its longitivity.
