My Prerogative is what it is... a statement. Constantly judge and criticised by the media, Britney holds her head high and lets the music do the talking. For what the song is, it's incredible. Britney manages to take a classic and introduce it to a whole new generation adding her own unique style to the amazing production. The song oozes attitude while probably being one of Britney's most personal and revealing releases. My Prerogative is a great first single to mark the end of 4 truly inspiring eras as she releases her Greatest Hits. While My Prerogative is a reflection on current events; it will hopefully make people release that as well as being the pop icon everyone knows, she's also just a normal young woman trying to live her life but with the world as her audience.
