I originally heard hidingplace on kerrang and couldn't believe I hadn't heard them before , the raw intensity of the riff contemplating the smooth vocals really set the standards of this young, promising, british rock band! god only knows why they don't get the recognition they deserve - hidingplace will probably be better off away from the u.k

Cruel Kindness is the kind of catchy, energetic rock song that you will be humming in the shower days after hearing it! This riff-fueled track with many a harmony is likely to appeal to fans of other British rock bands such as Hell is for Heroes, Muse, Lostprophets etc. It is followed by equally high quality b-sides. The final track is a cover of Don't Fear the Reaper, a song which has been done by so many, but only done successfully by a few acts (namely Finland's HIM) is surpising - an acoustic guitar and whispered vocals show a different, but compelling, side of Hiding Place. I look forward to further releases from this promising band.
