I doubt you will find a better Disney film of recent times than Mulan and yet it seems to travel quite quietly in terms of the other films produced by them.
Mulan is a story from Disney carrying the morals of family, acceptance and of being true to yourself.
The main character , being a young girl, unable to find acceptance in Empirial China, will appeal to girls more than boys, despite the morals carrying universal importance.
Mulan is a great story for any young girl to enjoy.
Mulan 2 on the other hand is why this product has 4 stars instead of 5. As with nearly all Disney sequels it is made for DVD/video and therefore lacks what makes Mulan great. Of course, there is a heartwarming story, and all the voices but Eddie Murphey seem to have returned, they just forgot the zest of what made Mulan great.
I will not get much use from Mulan 2 now I have watched it, but I will continue to watch Mulan for a long time to get a boost and that "feel-good" smile!
