MAGIX LiVid Your Little Virtual Drummer
The new band member! When starting a new song, many songwriters have difficulties defining an overall arrangement at the beginning. This little feature can be a tremendous help in these situations: simply choose a music style, enter the song length and specify the order of verses, choruses and bridges. At the press of a button, the little virtual drummer generates a complete drum track for you to play your other instruments to complete with breaks and fills. What's more, you can randomise the timing for a more human feel.

24-bit Playback & Native Processing
What you hear is what you get! The precision of 24-bit resolution has become standard for most sound cards and samples. To ensure this precision is available throughout your production, right up to the point where you burn your 16-bit CD, MAGIX music studio now supports 24-bit playback instead of dithering the output down to 16-bit. The enhanced dynamic range of 24-bit sound is now audible in your monitors all the way to the final mixdown. (Requires 24-bit capable hardware.)

RMS Normalise
Normalised audio. In addition to the normalisation algorithm already available for volume matching between or within audio files, RMS Normalise, a more effective, higher-quality algorithm, is now available. Automatic level matching can often sound artificial, as the source audio is treated very inflexibly. By using the RMS Normalise feature, you preserve the general sound character of your audio while making the most of its natural dynamics.

Bread & Butter Effects
Great-sounding traditional effects! Our range of high-quality real-time effects has long been lacking the popular and versatile effects Chorus, Flanger and Echo/Delay. This has finally been alleviated in the new version the high audio quality and sound character of our simulations of these traditional all-rounders should more than compensate for their previous absence.

File Manager and Explorer
Centralised file management. A project-based set of tools for managing objects, tracks, regions and markers that allows you to efficiently archive and manage all your project data and files directly in the work environment. Without having to switch to Windows, you can use drag-and-drop actions as well as search functions from within the MAGIX application.

Versatile Task Assistant so you can be creative more quickly!
Watch and learn! The wizard is there to guide you through simple or complex projects. Want to know more about individual functions? All the main functions are available from the Tasks menu, which also provides you with production hints and tricks. The tool tips contain useful information just one click, and the desired function is carried out or a help video pops up, enabling you to work quickly and without having to learn the entire application.

MAGIX Remix Agent
Automix! Remix Agent is the perfect tool for creating DJ and live performance mixes. It automatically detects the beat in your MP3s or Audio CD tracks and segments them into bar-accurate loops. Simply drag the track into the Arranger remixing has never been easier! Even extensive remixes are easily created using the generated loops.

Surround Panner
Multi-channel! Although MAGIX music studio does not provide multi-channel outputs as such, users have always been able to mix additional Dolby ProLogic surround effects with the standard stereo output. With the new Surround Panner borrowed from our professional Samplitude audio suite this process has become much more straightforward. The Surround Panner provides extensive mixing options.

Improved - Video Support
Synced audio. To facilitate a better editing environment when adding sound to video content, playback has been improved greatly thanks to optimized DirectShow components. Video can now be played back in full-screen mode.
