...the best. This, on the other hand, isn't. I loved The Young Machines, with it's fantastic, catchy tunes, beats and lyrics, but this remix album, which I was so excited to happen across in Fopp that I almost tripped over in my haste to buy it and get home to listen to it, is a mere shadow of its former self. I was expecting, as remixes should be, some really interesting reworkings, new and exciting beats...I was sorely disappointed, and found myself listening to each and every track (apart from possibly the title track, which has my head bobbing a tad) wishing it was the original. Particularly rubbish were the supposedly improved versions of "Sleepy California", SuperFurryAnimals mix (one of the best tracks on the original
