Need For Speed Underground 2 (PC CD)

What seperates this NFSU2 from the first underground version is that the world is free, like GTA3 and Vice City and ignore other people who say it wastes time and gets you bored, I thought it was a brilliant idea. It's quite fun, especially if you're a beginner, just to drive around the city looking for races, garages and magazine covers to be on. It means that you don't have to race all the time and can get used to the way your newly modified car feels.

I have to talk about audio and display features; once again the graphics have become much slicker and the atmosphere is amazing, the surroundings glide around the car smoothly and now the city has become a lot more defined so you can see where you're going instead of crashing into a tree which you saw at the last moment as the graphics on the first NFS:Underground was not top stuff. With loads of new bands in the playlists, including my favourite Queens of the Stone Age, it gives a whole new atmosphere as the songs determin your racing mood.

Other additions to the game are new cars (shame my car isn't featured though; the Honda Civic 2004 model (3-Door)) and the lincoln navigator wasn't really something I expected to come into the racing world but it did. New modifications include suicide doors, flying doors, spinning rims, double hood opening and awesome sound systems that can be placed in your boot. WOW!!! Everything can be hooked up with Neon and the graphics and vinyl is a must.

So with beautiful scenery (seriously good.... I was amazed) and amazing gameplay with faster cars and looking cooler than ever before I don't see how you won't buy this game.

Leave 50 ft long skid marks on the road as you melt the tyres, Mod the car in the most exacting way spoilers,alloys,engine tweeks, and even car audio upgrades, this game has the lot.

Anybody who loves there cars must consider this, the control is slightly unrealistic compared with richard burns, but hey, gives plenty of enjoyment. You will soon be leaving the garage after your most recent upgrade, thinking that looks awesome.

I love this game its supposed to be fun, and achieves it easily. I,m running it at maximum detail on a 3 ghz machine, with a radeon 9800 pro, and it runs sweet, just like the cars in it.

Visit body shops, graphic shops, car speciality shops and upgrade your car. Go search for all types of racing, from drift to U.R.L and hook up with various sponsors as you build up your reputation. With more cars to choose from (including more European and American manufacturers) this game is almost limitless in it's playability when you take into account the amount of modifications you can do to your car.

While I found the non-Underground Need for Speeds to be entertaining for a short while, they never really lasted beyond a few weeks. EA have hit the nail right on the head with these. I just hope that NFS: Most Wanted will go down a similar route.
