Don't get too excited - it's playable, but that's it., 16 Jun 2005
How excited I was waiting for this game to come through my letterbox and how disappointed I was when it did. It's playable, but not like I had expected. The scenarios and challenges are fine, but don't expect that because you're usually good at sim games you'll win at this one. Maybe it was just me, but I found that as soon as I started to lay floor tiles the little louts came along and destroyed the whole place. The cleaners follow each other around like nerds cleaning the same litter at the same time and the security guards watch as criminals wander around creating havoc - now come on, I can see the ball and chain, can't they? fools! The only solution I found to the litter problem was not laying floor tiles, but this makes the centre look tacky and unfinished. I never have found a solution to the criminal problem, cameras identify they are there, but they just continue to rob my stores and put them out of business. I still like the game because the concept is great, but I would only advise buying it if you have lots of patience and like a REAL challenge. I would now like to get hold of Mall Tycoon to see it if actually is a better, more friendly version of the game.

Mall Tycoon, 4 Sep 2004
By A Customer
The game is actually known as Mall Tycoon, and appears to be quite rare over this side of the Atlantic. The game is a must have for any females pc, or any male who particularly likes shopping. How many times have you sat and pondered after obtaining an outragious debt shopping, what it would be like to control your own mall. And anyone who reguarly shops on here will know that feeling, and should give into buying this game also. Build mutiple story shopping centres, with cinema's, acades, fast food, cafe's, tailors, jewellers, toy shops, cloth shops, in fact any shop you can imagine! And yes they even have a wedding shop! Start from scratch with your retail empire, or choose various scenario's to launch your mall kingdom. 3D graphics allow a more stimulating experience, and rotating camera's capture every nook-and-cranny of your mall. You can even launch marketing compaigns, including rock groups, christmas displays, car displays etc. Swap your design over the internet for better designs as well! This isn't one of the best tycoon games i've experienced, it's very basic in terms of gaming technology, but it's still quite addictive & provides hours of fun. It's like, what's the one thing your thinking about when your not shopping? SHOPPING! and with this game you can do that, but YOU can be the boss, and conduct them annoying mall cleaners and guards to move out of your way!

Shopping Center Tycoon - UK version of Mall Tycoon, 1 May 2005
By A Customer
When I purchased this game, I was so excited to play it. Besides, it was a cheaper version of the famous Mall Tycoon, which I could only afford the free 60-minute trial. When the Shopping Centre Tycoon game loaded up and I entered it, it was a disappointment to find that it wasn't like Mall Tycoon at all - there weren't any good scenarios you could play or any pre-made demo buildings. The only good point was that it had an optitians' and a juice joint, which in my free 60-minute demo of Mall Tycoon, didn't exist.
