1.0 out of 5 stars It's Unbelievable how bad this game is, 10 Nov 2004
Where to start! This game is truly appalling. Dealing with the attacking side first. The shooting is wildly inaccurate, it seems virtually impossible to aim the shot or gauge the power. However, that is emblematic of the gameplay as a whole. However, the crossing is fairly good, but is let down by the lack of accuracy that can be put into a header. The opposition team always defends on the edge of the 6 yard box, so you can direct your player up the pitch unchallenged until he arrives in the penalty area to find 4 defenders running at him. Its pathetic.

Onto the defending. Well, its so poor i can hardly put it into words. You may as well as forget tackling. If its slightly mistimed then your player will be sent off. Defending at a corner or any set play is impossible, the game's reactions are so slow there is no chance of getting close to the opposition on a rebound.

The most annoying thing about the game is the little things. Your player will take a dive without being prompted, your goalkeeper will spill the ball at a crucial time, but the crowning annoyance is that the game, when off the ball, will automatically change your player to another it thinks is better placed. Great you might think. Wrong! The player it changes to is normally no better placed, and as you're concentrating on tracking back you'll suddenly be controlling another player, who is now running in the wrong direction.

This game is EXCELLENT a landmark title for any fan of the toon army around the globe, I suggest you buy this game whether you support newcastle or not! It shows all players to full extent and is well worth the money. The thing that makes this game so great is a great team, Newcastle United.
