4.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it's about the world's best team, but..., 4 May 2005
    By A Customer
The makers of the 'Club Football' range have clearly pulled of a master stroke: club loyalty means any fan is likely to buy a product with its name emblazoned on the side, so it's hardly surprising to find the game back for a second season.
If it's realism you're after, this game is perfect: every squad is immaculately well researched and the players' faces brilliantly crafter. You can even create yourself, and if you happen to have an Eyetoy, you can photograph yourself and have it built into the game. The stadium design's not bad either, and the in-game graphics are good, if not spectacular.
However, if you're paying £30 for a game, most people (including myself) expect more than good player graphics and well researched data: game play is just as, if not more so important. Unfortunately, you're left feeling as though you've just stepped out of an arcade as first touch, shooting and tackling are all too simplistic and lacking the feel you get from rival football games.
In short, despite its excellent design and data (and, in this case, subject matter), Chelsea Club Football leaves you wanting more. If it's a choice you're trying to make, choose Pro Evolution Soccer, which remains the king of sports computer gaming. And if you're wondering why I still gave it 4 stars, just look at the crest on the front :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for kids, 12 Aug 2007
    Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Good game for little kids - the kits are wrong and you can watch clips from real matches - so good at this price.
The kits are just colours -no logos no nothing. Nice for kids. Easy to play. The graphics are ok - but Fifa is the game!
