This third-person action/adventure game delivers the ultimate Jedi action experience as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi join forces in fierce battles and heroic lightsabre duels until one's lust for power and the other's devotion to duty leads to a final confrontation between good and evil.

Players will control all the Jedi abilities of both Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, including devastating Force powers and advanced lightsabre techniques involving robust combo attacks and defensive manoeuvres. As Anakin, players will unleash the power of the Dark Side in ruthless lightsabre and Force attacks. 5.0 out of 5 stars The power of the Force, my friend, 21 May 2005
By James Kilgour "JimboOfTheShire" (Scotland, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When I learned that the Collective were going to make this game, i was so excited and glad. Then seeing the making of the game on the Star Wars trilogy DVD boxset only increased my excitement.
And let me tell you now, this game does not disappoint!
I like these action-adventure/hack slash games, but what is important for me mainly is that they play well and looked good. This game could well be one of the best of its type (in muy opinion, only Ninja Gaiden is more enjoyable). Add that to the fact that its a Star Wars license, AND based on the third film of the prequel trilogy (which looks amazing), and WOW!!!
The game looks, sounds and plays like a dream! As you'd expect from a Star Wars game, sound effects are never an issue! Voices are great, and the music is also excellent (although the music gets a wee bit tiresome after a while). Characters look great (and all have their own unique lightsaber fighting style!)
Their are plenty of extra's, which are unlicked by completing the levels (I hate games where you have to run through levels many times to find all the secrets to unlock bonuses), including concept art and movies from the film (I cant help but smile everytime I see the final movie unlocked by beating anakin with obi wan on the final level! Darth Vader is back!!!)
Which leads on to the fact that the final duel is not only excellent, but you get to play it from either side! winning as anakin unlocks a cool alternate ending
There are also bonus levels (including playing as Yoda!!! pure quality!, and Darth Vader vs Ben kenobi (from a new hope, on the death star)
Also is a few coop levels, and an awesome 2 player duel feature, where you can play as characters from the film (shame you cant get darth sidious or yoda in this, but you do get darth vader which more than makes up for this!). this feature, in my opinion, is as enjoyable as mortal kombat or whatever when you have pals around to play it with.
Overall, an awesome game, whether you like star wars or not. Think crossing EA's LOTR-the two towers with Buffy, and you get Episode 3: Revenge of the sith!
Pure quality! And you get to be yoda, in all his high flying, ass kicking glory

5.0 out of 5 stars the ultimate jedi experience!!!, 5 May 2005
I got my copy first thing today(5th) and played it all day! This game is amazing, great graphics, great effects, scenes from the movie etc.
Having already completed the game ,which took about 4 hours all I can say is wow!I wont spoil it for you who havent played it yet but all I can say is buy this game.If you own jedi academy, outcast you will love this.It builds around the same engine as both jedi academy and outcast but with new force powers, lightsabre attacks and some really deadly combo moves!
there are 17 levels in all, mission 17 is great because you are anakin and must kill obi-wan which unlocks an alternative ending! As you progress through the game you gain more experience points which can be collected buy using combo's.You can use these to level up,much like the lord of the rings games, and improve you force powers.
In terms of gameplay it runs smoothly, with great camera angles and lighting effects.I own the xbox version and the graphics are great however i believe that as the developers did not have long making this game, that if they had the graphics and game length would have been even better.
The multiplayer side of the game comes in two parts.First there are the co-op levels, 4 in all where you get to be both anakin and obi-wan.The second is duel! where you get to pick a jedi,9 in total, or a sith and kick the hell out of each other.Only prob is no yoda or darth sidious!but they make up for it with mechanical darth vader and old ben kenobi yes old ben!so you can relive that famous battle from a new hope!
Buy this game,if you love star wars buy it, if you love action games buy it if you love games buy it!!!

If your looking for a short game, you found it. This should have been the greatest Star Wars game ever, but sadly its one of the worst. What happened exactly? I was playing on it....and it finished. Oh and its pips squeeks too, my gran could complete this with her eyes closed.

Get Battlefront 2
