4.0 out of 5 stars Updated but not really improved, 16 May 2005
By A Customer
I have been a huge fan of Championship manager since it started. And one of the main reasons I bought an X-Box is that the game was available for it. I owned Champ Manager 2001/2002 and thought it was a very good reproduction of the PC version. OK at times it was slow, but I put up with that for the gameplay. I didn't buy the next update as I thought I would wait for this one. Plus point. The controler speed is a lot better (One minus point for the 2001/2002 version is the amount of thime it take to move the curser from one edge of the screen to the other.)For me though this is the only one real bonus of this new version. The menu control seems clumsy, the search sytem for new players is not as good. The font sizes are too small (if you adjust them then you can't read all the info) The match play is either too fast or too slow and there are some match view options that seem pointless. All in all, it is still in essence a good game but if like me you have got used to the older versions I would recommend you stick with the ones you have got already. Just one last point This game is not like LMA Manager this is a stat based game. One you will either love or hate. If you want to watch the games in FIFA style graphics this is not the game for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish, 20 Oct 2005
By A Customer
Very very busy screen. Theyv'e tried to cram as much information on to the screen as possible rather than scrolling down the screen. This has resulted in really small text, that it is very difficult to read. Player comparison is also effected as this is also much smaller, and the colour of the comparison numbers has changed. I found that this change prevented me from being able to distinguish between the colours, and hence not being able to identify the better players. I bought this game new and sold it a week later. I'm back to playing the 02/03 version, and can't wait for the launch of Football Manager 2006 on the XBox 360.
