Synopsis
Jimmy, an ambitous young man, has an ingenious scheme to sell his late father's ailing business, however his plans are interrupted when he is required to attend a drink driving rehabilatation course. Whilst there Jimmy meets Paul- a salesman, Mark- a minicab driver, and Richard - a retired property tycoon.
The men form unlikely bonds over a series of activities and sessions, and soon the temptation to convince Richard to buy Jimmy's business proves to good to be true, and plans are hatched...
Stunning dark comedy from Chris Cooke in his debut feature.

The hopelessness and self delusion of the characters in this movie are just hilarious. Best of all is the counsellor's white knuckle repression of his own frustration at being a "responsible drinker". If you've ever spent any time drinking too much this will bring some dark laughter - so long as you're not as far gone as this lot!

This is an absolute winner... laugh-out-loud funny - there's something about the Nottinghamshire accent that is just hilarious. Shane Meadows puts it to good use, and our man Chris Cooke does to. This is a darn good flick, and quite poignant by the end, also. It actually benefits from the low budget and unknown actors. Like Meadows, who's best film was his first, Smalltime, Cooke will have a hard time bettering this. Guy sleeping in a tent in his own garden is priceless, as is the role play between the two cabbies. Love it!

The film is well worth a watch. Both poignant and entertaining, a black comedy and anti-buddy movie about a group of blokes on an alcohol management course, the acting is superb and the storytelling refreshing. Shot on video the film doesn't suffer for its low budget feel. Its good to see a British film deliver with integrity and originality, unswayed by the conventional Hollywood fare that dominates our film culture.
