    Bought this camera today having had bad experiences with other makes. I was looking for a simple to use camera that would take reasonable pictures - this seems to be the case with this camera.

    The box it came in says easy simple function camera and they are right. The menu mode works well and the photograph options for such a cheap camera is excellent.

    The quality of the pictures taken seem to be ok. The software that comes with the camera also allows you to improve the image even further.

    For someone wanting to try digital photography on a modest budget I would recommend this camera as a good starting point.

    Well-built camera with lots of useful features, however pictures lack contrast and are disappointingly dull when printed (professionally)- they are very different to the ones shown on the computer screen. Good at focusing though, and videos excellent.
    However, the camera is let down (or at least mine was) by the battery life. Whether using rechargeable NiMH ones or Lithium ones, the camera now turns itself off after less than 5 minutes of use (this is with all power-saving features ON). Extremely annoying that the battery life worsened just after the warranty ran out!
