Possibly more than any other, the Carry On series of films typifies the very essence of British comedy. They are, without doubt, the most enduring and possibly the most endearing offspring of British cinema.

Since their origins in 1958 through to the present day, the mention of the words "Carry On" brings to mind images of saucy humour, larger-than-life characters and riotous slapstick. There are very few people in their home country, if not elsewhere, who haven't seen at least one of the 31 Carry On films, let alone the subsequent stage shows and television series. 20 Years of Carry On takes the best original music from each film between 1958 and 1978 and adds the key amusing dialogue highlights from each film.

For a fan of the Carry on films this CD is an essential addition to your collection.
It contains the theme to every CO film (bar 'Columbus') and some of the classic dialogue from each film.
All of the themes are the originals and the sound quality is variable but who can resist the delights of 'Carry On Screaming', 'Love Crazy' and the 'Carry On Camping' themes.

I bought this CD over a year ago and still listen to it regularly. I have my CD player in the kitchen and listen to this collection whilst I'm doing such exciting things as... oh, ironing, cooking etc! But this collection certainly makes these tasks go quicker!

The CDs come in a case encased in a cardboard... erm... case. There is a booklet inside detailing all the films the clips come from, with a short synopsis and lots of photos and pictures of the posters. There is a good five minute-ish long clip from each film up to 1978 - each one has the theme music, incidental music and the most famous clips and sections of dialogue from each film. They are grouped into sections such as medical, holidays, etc. I particularly like putting the CD on `random' mode which mixes them up a bit, as after you've heard the CD a few times you know what's coming next, but you get that with any CD I guess!

The whole package is excellent quality and well worth the money. A must for an Carry On fan as you won't be disappointed!
