Let's be honest there are issues with the AI.Try the first mission flying the RAAF Beaufighter and the whole squadron flies itself into Owen Stanley Mountain Range ! There are others, but I'm not here to nitpick. What I would say is simply this. If you have any other titles from the IL2 franchise (as I do), then you will already know how playable the game is, you will already know it is truly beautiful to look at, you will already know that it is very well supported on many affiliated and third party sites. If Pacific Fighters and the IL2 family are new to you, then you are in for a real treat. As a standalone it is beautifully written/produced, easy to get into and customise for your own preferences (I still switch-off the engine overheat, fuel mixing & prop settings - they really get in the way). Buy it dive in, but always remember the golden rule.... Unless you're flying a Spitfire (Seafire); "Never, never, never try to out-turn a Zero.... Dive, shoot, climb away. Live to fight another day " Oh and carrier landings.... let the AI do it, trust me on this one ! IJ - Liverpool
