The Best Fighting Game on the X-box, 21 Nov 2004
I've never been a HUGE fan of fighting games on the X-box i wasnt as swept away with soul calibur 2 as everyone else seemed to be so i was a little skeptical when my little bro dumped Def-Jam on my desk and spouted a glowing review of the game.. i dont even like rap/hip-hop/whatever else sort of music scene the games characters are all from (although i did recognise Henry Rollins, Rock on Mr R!!). The game quite frankly blew me away, it has a decent story line a lot of character customisation a fantastic "campaign" mode and a brillant combat system, Gone are the days where your button bashing mate beats you at the game out of sheer luck, this games got a lot of strategy in it and its that that put it above the rest. You first of all pick your characters look from a police line up, you dress him, bling him up to the hilt, tattoo him.. its kinda like the beat em ups "need for speed: underground". Second of all you get into the fights, and these rock.. its an ace game right up till the end and you WILL go back for more just so you can have a character with all the trophys that are available.. I recommend this to anyone, its excellent in single player and its excellent in multi player..
