5.0 out of 5 stars The Two Bens Rock!, 5 Jan 2005
Winnebago Deal are the best band in the entire universe. The is the best album that has ever been released. Go now. Buy it. Buy all their other stuff while you're at it. If you've never heard of the Deal, they're a two piece who make a LOT of noise - full on burn-down-your-house rock, sometimes tinged with stoner and blues. All of it is brilliant, from 58 seconds of opener 'The Line-Up' to the seven and a half minutes of 'Dead Gone'. You'll be grabbing your air guitar and vowing to never cut your hair again. Rock on!

5.0 out of 5 stars They won't even stop for you to catch your breath, 25 May 2007
By Mr. P. J. Thorn "Thorn" (Liverpool, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The cover may feature a Tyranosaurus, but Dinosaur rock this ain't. Imagaine Black Flag playing AC/DC, whilst drunk on cheap whisky and expelling vocals rougher than a sheet of sandpaper covered with shards of glass. Oh and they pull of this feat with only 2 members. From Oxford. Following on from the breathlessly intense Plato O Plomo mini-album and the George Dickel Ep, which have built 'the 2 Ben's' a loyal following, their first full-length does not disappoint.. They lay down their manifesto early on with opener 'The Line-Up' and close proceedings 12 riff-laden tracks later with NWO. The album is crammed with highlights, from the brilliant riff of 'Cobra' to the almost sing (or shout) along chorus of 'Did It, Done It, Doing It Again'. It's not hugely cognizant, nor is it pushing anyone's musical boundaries, except of course in terms of volume. What it is, is a hugely pleasurable slab of punk-metal, for those who love their rock heavy, greasy, dirty and in-their-face. Love them, for it is your purpose in life.
