3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but for dedicated fans only..., 1 Dec 2004
The first thing to strike you about this collection of videos by these daft Slovenians is how ludicrously camp they are, an idea given weight by the strange and slightly creepy resemblance of lead singer Milan - in his younger, moustachieod days - to a young Freddy Mercury. These videos are largely funny, especially the incomprehensible "Sympathy for the Devil" film, sometimes lovely - "Across the Universe" - and sometimes quite striking. The computer generated sequences in the later pieces such as "Wirschaft Is Tot" are plainly precursors of the glossy but lame efforts of later Pet Shop Boys videos.

The first video is a live performance of Michael Clark and troupe with Laibach (did I say camp?), which is probably most interesting of all.

In addition, there is an excellent little documentary which explains the genesis of the band along a timeline of the fall of communism and how Yugoslavia became Slovenia.

Alltogether intereesting and amusing if you are a fan, but not for the casual viewer.
