5.0 out of 5 stars one the best spaghetti westerns, 14 May 2008
By S. Leigh "ever85" (liverpool) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Keoma is an excellent addition to the spaghetti western genre. It is stylishly directed with some brilliant slow motion sequences. The only thing wrong with the film is the awful music score from the usually reliable De Angelis brothers which is just absolutely painful to listen to (their score for Sergio Martinos A Man Called Blade is just as bad).
The dvd also includes a bonus disc containing Fredinaldo Baldis Texas Addios starring Franco Nero which is quite boring and nothing to write home about.
Keoma is presented in anamorphic widescreen (2:35.1) but the picture quality is pretty bad, however the dvd makes up for this with some nice extras including an interview with director Enzo G Catellari, an introduction from cult director Alex Cox,the films trailer and bonus trailers for A bullet for the General,Django,DjangoKill!.Texas Addios is widescreen anamorphic 2:35.1 and the only extra is the trailer
