This rare recording is excellent in quality and performance. But do not trust label. It is not a true SACD. Beethoven is only stereo and Mendelssohn plays on front three speakers only. It is even written on the back page, but not mentioned anywhere here.
If you are looking for excellent stereo recording this on is for you. If you are looking for true SACD go for another one.

OK I HAD NOT HEARD OF TRUE SACD BEFORE!! THIS IS AN SACD DISC. IT IS IN STEREO. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ALL THE HYPE IN MULTI CHANNEL ANYWAY. GOOD HI-FI IN STEREO IS ADEQUATE FOR MOST AUDIOPHILES. THAT IS WHY MOST HIGH END SACD PLAYERS ARE IN STEREO ONLY.
OK HEFETZ PLAYS THE CONCERTO A LITTLE TOO QUICK FOR MY TASTE. NEVERTHELESS A VERY GOOD SOUNDING SACD(IN A GOOD STEREO SYSTEM).
AT THE PRICE IT IS A BARGAIN.
