I thought this volume was a big let down given the great quality of music in vols 1-6. They should quit while they're ahead or then go into hiding and only come out with a new volume when they're sure to repeat if not better the quality we're already used to with the last 6.

I have all of the Hotel Costes 1-7.
If you haven't and you like music then buy them ALL.
This is one is more funky and full of funky laid back grooves than some of the other albums and stands out as one of the best in collection for it.
It is an excellent album and is a must for your music collection.

After 6 really good Hotel Costes releases, this CD is a big let down.
Are they pushing this series too far?
I guess that the packaging shouldn't bother me, but I think that the artwork and presentation is unimaginative and dull... and this reflects the slide in musical content across the series.
Volumes 2, 3, and 4 were the series peak in my opinion.
