One of the greatest and also one of the more underrated releases of 2004 arrived in the shape of "Air traffic" - Three Drives. No strangers themselves to the trance scene, Three Drives first came to prominence in 1998 with their spellbinding "Greece 2000", originally released on the Hooj imprint and re-issued less than a year later whence it hit number #12 in the UK chart. The soaring "Sunset on Ibiza" was released in 2001 to much fanfare, the original version by DJ Enrico & Ton TB eclipsing even the Above & Beyond rework. A hiatus ensued, until 2003 when Nebula unwisely chose to release the disappointing "Carrera 2" instead of "Signs from the universe". 2004's "Air traffic" more than atones for that poor judgement thought, it is a solid, driving yet hugely uplifting affair which is of a similar calibre to the timeless "Greece 2000"
