If you've ever played Super Monkey Ball then you're halfway to understanding this game. I say halfway as some of the gameplay is similar - it's just that somewhere along the line the developers went insane, and decided to pitch a good 1/3 of the levels at 600MPH.
There are 3 car types which can basicly be thought of as fast (600MPH), medium (200MPH) and slow (80MPH) with levels split between the types; ie. you're restricted to one particular type of car for each level.
There are also 4 different game modes:
Race - a time trial to get round the track as fast as possible to unlock other tracks
Platform - try to pull off the stunts to advance around the level with as few retries as possible
Puzzle - where you have to BUILD the track first, trying to lay it out so you can get round it in the target time
Crazy - best described as tag team racing gone mad: you have to "convert" opponents to your team

As well as that, each time you win an event you get credits, which you can then use in the track editor to build your very own tracks for any of the game types. To me this is the best part of the game, as it means it's always go replayability so long as you've got imagination.

There are two downsides though:
a) you may find yourself getting addicted to it
b) you'll need a pretty good system (especially graphics card) to get the best out of the amazing environments and scenery

To sum up - TM: Sunrise is a highly original concept which works very well. It's very satisfying to hurl your car off a crazy jump at incredible speed and time it right to make the next section - that "just one more try" factor is there in force.
It's well worth trying it out.

I bought this game on recomendation from a friend, and initially was pretty impressed. The racing is good looking and damn quick!! although i liked the mad stunts i cant help but feel limited due to the track design and uber arcadey handling.
Its not a bad game, but neither is it a great game. Worth the tenner i payed for it, but not much more!

I originally played the demo and was very impressed, so me and a friend bought this game, and that's where the problems started, it would crash regularly both on my PC and on his PC. I know it's not the PCs that are at fault because we have numerous other games on our computers that work perfectly. The track designer was quite limiting and there doesn't seem to be anyway to create or build a looping track, so you only get one run of the track from start to finish and then that's it. Definitely feel ripped off here, it crashes so much it's unplayable, and has been sitting on my shelf for 6 months.
