This was to be the final series for the revised cast line up of Bugs.With Craig Mclachlan leaving to be replaced oddley by British actor Steve Houghton still cast as ED ?who later found limited fame in London's Burning,and released a rather poor pop Album .This is the weakest of the set with the end in sight and the writers scraping the barrel for plots.The team seem even more restricted being controlled by Bureau 2 and Jan.It's much like a low budget James Bond with even more gadgets at hand.This is still a good series to watch again and far better than all later BBC efforts of the genre.As for the DVD extras , they are still limited to basic text info.And we also have some cast photo's which is a pity as cast interviews would have been nice.

Following on from his well acted and brilliand performance on London's Burning (he was in that before going on to do Bugs) and his no:2 single and gold status album Steven Houghton who is now very hot on stage as Chris in the Musical Miss Saigon was fab as a take over as Ed, giving a def. attractive male to look at in a rather bland cast. The series was a fab 1,with drama, humor, and a love triangle, but is the best of the four by far and the cliffhanger ending was a shame because fans of the show were left with pleanty of questions - they need to come back and finish it. On the whole the DVD box set has arrived (finally) and I cant wait to sit and watch it time and time again - GO GET IT NOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!

I am not going to do a spoiler but what I will say is that the last episode ends on a cliff hanger and the audience suspects they know who are the disguised people. But you don't know what happens to Alex, Ed, Jan, Beckett and Ros the team at Bureau 2, formerly of Gizmos. The audience never find what happens to Ros now her sideline as an inventor has been changed. Those the bad points the good points: the team never use guns, the stories are entertaining and well-written with some humour, romance and definately lot sof adventure. To sum up what BUGS is in one sentence: BUGS is a hi-tech crime series with excellent characters and stories which keep you on the edge of your seat. I want to know what happens to these people as the ending was unsatisfactory hence the four and not five stars.
