This is just 15 minutes of cynical marketing. ABBA do not 'reform' for this - each of them are separately on screen for only 2 or 3 seconds, Agnetha was added in digitally, the others might as well have been.
The camp humour of the 'story' is unsuitable for kids - very inappropriate, I felt. As for the music - why pay to see puppets singing along?
This is very poor, and the first ever ABBA product which has been a waste of my money. The extras are all on other DVDs. It's a waste of time.

This new release from Polar won't convert anybody to the Abba phenomenon but for exisitng Abbafans it is well worth having. The main event revolves around a puppetted Swedish foursome auditioning for a contract with record boss Rik Mayall. The puppets are very well done and move and act realistically to 4 Abba tracks. The dialogue from the record company staff and visitors is written around lines from Abba lyrics and the sound and vision quality are excellent. All 4 members of Abba appear in person though you'll need the pause and slowmo buttons to see them well - It is great to see them co-operating in this and in particular Agnetha who some still say stands aloof from the rest of the group. Bonus material is an interesting "Making of" film together with the 4 videos for the included songs. Well worth checking out.

I am going to send this back. What a load of rubbish. Trying to get a decent concert video of Abba is proving almost impossible. This is mainly a film using puppets portraying Abba with Rik Mayal at his unfuniest. There are 4 early video tracks which actually show the real Abba singing (albeit stuntedly and not very convincing!)and thats it. Don't waste your money!!
