1.0 out of 5 stars Small, but useless., 2 Nov 2004
I thought I was getting a bargain, it was just what I was looking for. 3MP, optical zoom, and small!

Unfortunately this camera is utterly usless. The auto focus cannot focus in anything other than a brightly lit room, or bright sunlight. I don't even know why they bother adding a flash as you need so much ambient light for it to focus in the first place, it negates the flashes use.

I take lots of photos outside, and with it being winter now I can't use the camera. Also in bars and clubs, where the lighting isn't great, this camera is no use. Even in my room with the table lamp on it struggled! The instructions suggest focusing on an area the same distance that is bright, yea, like I have time to faf about doing that!!

Initially I thought it was defective, until the replacement was the same. I was very dissapointed and returned the item.

    4.0 out of 5 stars I Love it, 1 Sep 2004
It's not my first digital camera, I already have a gorgeous Sony Digital Camcorder, that takes stills. I just needed something that was small, takes great photos and fits in my handbag on a night out.

It's fab to use, a complete bargain, that I bought at the airport for under £100, it has optical zoom which I wanted, as you can take much more detailed photos and it's so small and light.

3 problems, I still haven't quite figured out how to stop it blurring the photos (I think I'm wiggling it!), the memory card it comes with is really small and it doesn't come with a carry case, but these are pretty minor really.

Buy it, but not for more than £100!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap in price, not expensive in quality, 3 Sep 2004
    By A Customer
I bought this camera about a month ago. Its a very good price for a good brand name and 3 million pixels.
Good points are that its very small and light and that it has a optical zoom inside, as well as a very fast startup. You could take a pic about 2 seconds after you turn it on and good batteries have an average to long life.
Bad points are that while the picture quality outside is very sharp although i've seen better, the indoor pics could be a lot better(though they arent very bad).
It could be that im not good at taking photos but ive tried all the settings and there is no difference. Also the night mode is hard to work out and usually ends up fuzzy
All in all i probably would recommend this camera for a first time buyer who wants to have a quality camera.
