The game is loosely based on a popular Chinese fantasy legend of a time when mystical and powerful beings, Senin and Mamon, roamed the land. The game depicts one period of their flamboyant battles. By combining Koei's multiple character (group) Battle System know-how and the high level of expression possible with the Playstation2, this game will provide an original and refreshing experience that has not been found in other action games.

This game is for the more experianced rpg players. Its complex contol system combined with delightful gameplay make it a game that most people will enjoy. You only start of a with two characters that you must train up and complete story mode with in order to unlock other character (kind of like dynasty warriors) I suppose this game could be thought of as the opposite for dynasy warriors in the fact the it is a fantasy adventure and the characters are not big brutes but more anime like. Still the hack and slash remains the focus of the game as to progress to the next stage you must eliminate all enemies then the boss. The difficulty level of this games ranges from normal to hard but the normal mode itself is tricky as the moves take practise and timing to execute. I was supprised to find that after wading through millions of enemies on screen that i died with the boss, one way around this is you can pick up power ups for strength defence and magic. There is also a multi player mode which generates hours of intense gameplay. In my view this game is worth a look even fro those who are sceptical I for one am a huge fan of dynasty warriors and loved this game.

Not our kind of game - too much manic fighting and not enough story. But it is beautifully drawn and coloured. Probably fine for kids who like fighting games but not for two old ladies who like old fashioned rpg's.

As a twin im always looking for games my sister and i can play together, Mystic heros offers a great multiplay function that instead of beating up each other, you play though levels with each other. I first experienced this game on the gamecube, around a friends house and we had 4 people on this mode, which was intensly fun. However the ps2 version is very similar, and more suited to two player mode (the cpu players are just stupid.)in total there are 7 different co-op modes in the game, which give you hours of multi play alone.
The single play story mode of the game is enjoyable, and to be honest, i haven't gotten very far, but you can play 2 differnt stories to begin with, and as you go along you can unlock more characters.

All in all this is a very enojyable game,and the voice acting is a bit funny (naja *laugh*) Highly recommended!
