1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY - DON'T BUY - DON'T BUY - DON'T BUY - DON'T BUY, 18 Feb 2005

DON'T BUY

This game is one of the worst I've ever played.

The grahics are clunky and the handling is unresposive. The A.I. is terrible. Once, the computer drove around the course in REVERSE!!!

Of course, it may be coincidental that its called "GT" racers with the brilliant success of the Gran Turismo series.

Please don't buy this game. Please!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Simply Shouldn't have been allowed for Sale, 30 Oct 2007

Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
The reviewer below is spot on. There are opinions and then there is blatant fact, and this is a simple fact that the game should never have even been given a license by Sony to be sold for the PS2, it is like a practice project for apprentice developers who are just learning their first steps in making games, the graphics are bog standard, but the main problem is the track design, car handling and ai you race against. The track design is very basic, in that it has long straight roads and simple curves with no imagination at all, the car handling is not like cars and the ai is simply terrible, it's just too slow, even if you are very bad at racing games you will win by a mile first attempt against this ai, and so that's it, there is nothing to race against and no satisfaction in driving the cars on the bland tracks even for time trials, so the game has nothing to offer. I have played most racing games out there for the past decade and this is the worst I have ever seen, so you can imagine.

1.0 out of 5 stars GT Racers? or GT Scam?!, 22 Feb 2008

Straight to the point!

This game really is that bad!
It does not offer anything new to the table.
If this game was released back in the early 90's, it would have provabley been quite reasonable, but even then... there were already better games than this one.

When I first got this game, I must admit that I was almost impressed with the main menu.
It gives you an option to "Rename" the cars, which I thought it was a unique feature that I haven't seen before... and I never saw that in: Ridge Racer, Need for speed, V Rally, Burnout, etc...
But that's all this game has to offer, Which in the end is not worth keeping it, just for the sake of renaming cars.

The cars have no point what so ever, they're just a pile of floating metal, which by the way, you don't even get to see when you're racing, since there is only one camera view. (Drivers camera)

There are no other options either, wether you want to race on free race, career, so you never get to win any trophies, medals, earn cash to buy better cars, improve your status, etc...

Well, I am not going to carry on typing, because it's a waste of time, just like the game is.
This game really is that bad.

There are so many good games out there Now-A-Days, like the ones I mentioned above, that there was no need to release this thing!
what was sony thinking about, when they let this out on the ps2?!

I don't know what the people who made this game were thinking, provabley a one hit company, who wanted to make some "Quick Cash".
They were 15 years too late.
It's not fair on the fans and gamers.

I would class this as a cheap arcade game that was converted to the ps2.

This game is a scam.
Really is that bad.
Don't waste your money and your time!
