1.0 out of 5 stars fun for half an hour....., 23 Jun 2007
Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
below average game, the controls are a lot to get to grips with, almost all the missions are the same just fly somewhere, bomb some random thing.
whats more i found the accuracy a real problem, with missiles you can lock on and easily destroy tanks/ whatever but you only get 12 each mission and so have to otherwise use cannon which is about as useful as a pee-shooter and is almost impossible to aim, this gets very frustrating when you have to kill troops but despite hovering 10 metres off the ground you still cant get them.
unsatisfactory
would have taken it back but is worth nothing
save yourself some bother, buy a real game

3.0 out of 5 stars A propoganda game, 5 Feb 2009
By John Smith (Powys U.K) - See all my reviews
Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This game, on paper, is a great idea. But then so was star wars bounty hunter. It needs to be taken vwith a pinch of salt. It is cheap, it has difficult controls, the missions are all the same. But it is still fun for a while.
The storyline is very similat to current affairs, a terrorist organisation is launching co-ordinated attacks against the west. You have to stop them. Sound familiar? This could be said to be a game designed to boost the propoganda that is already around following 9/11.
The controls, oh dear. There is always a very stong wind so you have to keep compensating and the corrective lever that controls altitude is unresponsive. Given this game employs some stealth, you need to be able to keep low. With the exception of the Hellfire anti armour weapons, of which you have only 8, your arsenal is unguided and you must cluster bomb an area to destroy one target.
Despite all these problems this game is still fun. In reality a attack helicopter can pop up from behind a hedge and launch its guided missiles. If the game was like that, it would not be as fun. It is the problems that make the game enjoyable. For about half an hour.
