Anybody who likes house music / electronica / tippy-tappy-techno combo's such as the great Michael Mayer and Superpitcher will die for this CD. The Kompakt label has been at the forefront of this genre for a while, managing to sign pretty much all the best people. The beautiful beats offered are great for chilling out, driving long journeys or winding yourself up for a night out at the local sleaze parlour. Snapping hot at the heels of Kompakt is Poker Flat so check that out too. All I would say to finish is that the amount of Kompakt stuff out there is vast and not really well represented on Amazon, so if you try, buy and love it, you will need to cast your net further afield to satisfy your appetite for this legendary label.

I like techno and mellow stuff but i found this album to be too much of a mixture of styles, half of it is ambient, some tracks have vocals/are songs(not in a good way) and a quarter of is the usual(michael Mayer style)of top class techno. So a quarter of this double unmixed cd is brilliant and the rest is a bit too experimental.Recommended Kompakt releases Immer 1 & 2 and Spiecher1.

I like minimal. I like DC10, Panorama Bar, Cocoon and all that. I appreciate that minimal can take some time to build up within a set.

What I've failed to grasp is how I found almost all the tunes on this compilation - a 'best of' no less - filler-tracks, and forgettable.

I'd come to expect more from Kompakt, and was disappointed.
