I have tried as many car racing and rally games as I could get. Of course, many are very sophisticated in allowing to choose from a long list of technical specs of the cars, to choose different features of the drivers, and in the way the cars behave on the road. For me, most of them are too complicated, because I just want to have fun driving a car in a race.

Ford Racing 3 is this game. It has excellent graphics, nice landscapes, many different car models which all look great and behave very realistic, a variety of circuits, and a very good sound. But most important, driving the cars is real fun because, although there are increasing difficulty levels, one learns to handle the cars after a few races.

In conclusion, this game is the choice for people who want to enjoy realistic car racing at the PC without having to spend time in learning complicated features of the game and with little risk to give up because of becoming frustrated by the difficulty of driving the cars and therefore not getting points for more cars and circuits.

This is great racing game in the pick it up and go genre. It's not a driving simulation like GTR but provides more realism than a lot of the arcade style racers. What makes this game stand out is the flawlessly smooth graphics and the car handling. Each car really feels different and there is a definite sense of weight which is often missing in other race games. The variety of cars is great and it's fun to try something different like racing the rickety old Model T. The graphics still look good even by today's standards and there's a proper sense of speed. A very pleasant surprise and highly recommended.

I didn't think it was posisble for Ford Racing 3 to be better than the previous game, but I was wrong! The graphics are enhanced, and there is a better selection of cars to race. The Ford Competition has to be the best part of the game, with progressively more challenging races to 'collect' more cars and colour schemes.

Well worth waiting for - I'd certainly recommend it to anyone!
