3.0 out of 5 stars Poor game, despite having the Official License.., 23 May 2006

Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Oh dear, oh dear. Try as they might, Davilex (the creators of this mis-firing game) don't seem to hit the spot with the driving games that they continue to produce.

I can give them a LOT of credit for shelling out for the official licences on games such as this (Miami Vice) and prior to that the Knightrider game. However, there is little point investing in the Official rights and then turning out below par products like this.

Some years ago, the quality of this 3D driving/shooter game might have been acceptable. Unfortunately, the Grand Theft Auto franchise has raised the bar to such an extent that this poor imitation pales alongside it (with particular reference of course in this instance to "Vice City" - the great irony being that that entire concept and scenario of that game could never have happened without Miami Vice..!)

I am feeling generous today, so am still giving Miami Vice : The Game 3 stars out of 5. Having said that, hand on heart I cannot really recommend it. Sorry folks.

(this review relates to the PC version - I have not seen the others, but I suspect that they suffer from the same flaws)

Thanks for reading.
