With Midway Arcade Treasures 2, gamers will have the option of enjoying their favorite games in one-to-four-player game formats, depending on the title, and will experience a collection of classic titles that represent a fresh, new era in gaming relative to other "classic" game compilations. The bonus DVD content in the game will also feature several classic video montages of original commercials, launch trailers and making of the game videos for several of the classic arcade titles included on the disk.

Ah, the games of yester-year. All here on one disk. It's great to play the games that were previously arcade giants though I was a little disapointed that the games weren't as fun as I seem to remember. Certainly certain games with unlimited continues (e.g. Gauntlet) do detract from the overall enjoyment of trying to wring extra game time from arcade by inserting more money. You know what I mean.

This is indeed a treasure though I expect it will appeal more to those wishing for a nostalgic trip back to memory lane.

Can't fault the value, though there are a few duds which seem to have been included to pad out the content.

A collection of retro games always seems like a great idea - a nostalgic jaunt back to the heady days of seaside arcades, coin-ops in chip shops and ten plays for a quid.

But like most trips down memory lane in turns into a disappointing trudge.

Most of the games are, frankly, rubbish and don't warrant one play let alone a repeat performance. All the 2D fighting games are incredibly dated, with Pitfighter virtually unplayable.

Only two titles save this collection from totally redundancy - Rampage World Tour is a giggle if you manage to get three people to experience it's joys (pretty dull as a single player if you can't) and Total Carnage from the makers of Smash TV is a hoot.

Aside from that I'd suggest you save that stack of 10p pieces for a bag of chips or a battered sausge - both which provide more long term enjoyment than the majority of games on display here.

This is better than the first, only because of primal rage and the two mortal kombats, the games look the same as they used to look and there are no different types of play but it is defanantly worth buying, plus 20 games for 14 quid! good deal,
