3.0 out of 5 stars Close, but no cigar, 31 Aug 2004

    (REAL NAME)
    If there was a 1/2, I would have given it a 3 1/2, maybe a 4 minus. B minus work or maybe C+.
There could have been so much more done with this than just slapping a Bluetooth module on an MP3 player. More on that later.
It paired easily with my Motorola V600 and worked well with calls. The headphone/lanyard combination will be replaced today with a seperate lanyard and a decent set of headphones. Terrible sound, bad ear fit, horrible lanyard.
Easy navigation through the menu, slow MP3 upload from my desktop.
FM reception is not so good. Maybe a decent set of heaphones with more that 3 inches on antenna providing cable will help. I will try the auto record tonight.
What more could be done? There has got to be some way to connect the Diva Gem, the Motorola phone and by wonderful Jabra bluetooth headset. I don't care if it's mono, I listen mostly to news on the FM when I walk to work. Mono music is preferable in the gym as one ear is still listening for danger. The Jabra has a great fit. Why can't the Diva Gem be worked as a "go between" to control both devices? Or, even a full Jabra headset with a miniphone plug would be better.
Could have been a winner but fell short. It removes one more wire from my world and that makes it worthwhile. I just wish that it could have removed all of them.
