5.0 out of 5 stars Pokemon perfection!, 9 Sep 2004
By A Customer
This game will revolutionise gaming. Why? Because of the free Wireless Adapter! If somebody else has a copy of FR/LG, and is within the 'Official' range of 3m (though 50m is possible, but uses up battery power really fast.) Anyway, this game it a remake of the original Red and Green games whitch launched in Japan. Green became our Blue, while thier Red stayed as Red. Then Ninty launched Blue, but it was only available through magazines. Anyway, nine new islands have been added, but they're only a few towns each. Trading is possible between FR,LG,R,S and Colloseum.

Graphics 9/10
Gameplay 10/10
Sound 9/10
Life Span 10/10
Overall 95%

4.0 out of 5 stars Gotta Catch em all, 23 Aug 2004
By A Customer
Pokemon was the thing back in its day with the tv programe, the cards and the GAME.The original pokemon game got me hooked i wasn't the biggest fan of pokemon but the game was fantastic.Fire red is pokemon red but a it has better graphics, more gameplay and its in colour for definite.Take control of Ash a pokemon trainer and choose one of the three starting pokemon and then get some pokemon catch pokemon and train them to beat the gym leaders and then challange the elite four. This is probably gonna be the most popular gba game out at christmas as it should be.It isn't gonna be the best game about but it is still a good game and it will be a the top of the charts.Pokemon fans will love it and former fans will to like the game.

5.0 out of 5 stars The King Of Kanto Has Returned!, 28 Oct 2004
ok, i bought this game because it was the original. the first game. pokemon red, where the whole pokemon legacy began.

i soon came to realize this isnt a direct port of a game, they havent just taken the original given it some pretty colours and then put it on the GBA. they've improve on it.

1. original game - so it does have everything the original had, but with more colour.

2. New Moves - they have put in all new moves to the game making it much better and much harder

3. Improved AI - the new AI for the gym trainers is impressively smart. no more stupid 'tail whip' moves from then. all attack, all of the time

4. BIGGER GAME! - the main improvement, there are now NINE new island on the game

5. NEW POKEMON! - i wont tell you who, and i wont tell you when. but there are ALOT of new pokemon.

overall this game took what made the original fantastic and improved on it. if you liked the original buy this, if your new to the game buy this, if you didnt like the original.. why are you reading this?
