5.0 out of 5 stars Emma's Best, 1 Jun 2004
By M. D. Gananca "Music Lover" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
"Crickets Sing For Anamaria" is the 4th Single released of the "Free Me" album, the second piece of pop perfection delivered by the brilliant Emma Bunton.

This Song is very different than the other tracks released from "Free Me". In this track, Emma explores Latin Rhythms (Brazilian Rhythms), using the Latin samba with hand-claps and fast paced lyrics that will make you wanna dance for sure.

Emma puts in this track a refreshing & exquisite sound that you will enjoy too.

If this is not enough for you, Emma includes in this Single (The 2 CD Set) the radio edit of the track, cover versions of Paul Anka's "Eso Beso" and Astrud Gilberto's "So Nice (Summer Samba)", the "Crickets Sing For Anamaria" "Elements' Crickets Dance On Tequila Booty Mix" & and a stunning "Maybe" Latin Version. Plus, you will get an Amazing sexy pic of Emma in the cover of both singles.

Buy It Now, It's One of the best singles of 2004, you won't regret it.

Thanks for reading this review. =)

5.0 out of 5 stars Summer is here!, 14 Jun 2004
By H. R. Trigg "howietUK" (Swindon, Wilts United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

Now this is a cd-single worth buying! Its a 60's kitsch fest!
You get the wonderfully kooky 'Crickets sing for Anamaria'.
You know the one!
"Suddenly the pappa came,
and then the mamma came,
and then the sister came,
and then the brother came,
and then the uncle came,
and then the cousin came."

You also get 2 brand new covers not on the album, which are perfectly in keeping with Emma's current 60's theme. The beautiful 'So Nice' and 'Eso Beso'.
Finally, you get a reworked 'Crickets sing...', again, perfectly in keeping with the theme and not overworked into a dance track, but has that latin / samba feel.
This shopuld have been called 'the summer ep'.
If you've enjoyed Emma's recent success, then this cd is a must.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emma sing for Us!, 31 May 2004
By Rafael S. Pasold "xerrife" (Brazil) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This single is a daring release for this summer, but, undoubtely is one of her second album's best song! With a true latin feeling (due to this being a cover song), Emma explores her vocal a softer way, but very confident. The video is amazing and the b-sides are also cute. Worth the buy, worth the listening.
