4.0 out of 5 stars Great album..., 4 Dec 2006
By Jamie Tate (Nashville, TN United States) - See all my reviews

This CD was mastered from a vinyl transfer. I understand the master tapes could have been lost somewhere along the line. It's a nice sounding needle drop, if a bit thin with a surprisingly bright top end, but most of the residual vinyl sound has been cleaned away leaving an adequate sounding CD.

Maybe someday the tapes will resurface but until then this CD is pleasant enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars What about the music?, 19 April 2009
By A. M. Horsman "Andy Horsman" (Taunton, UK) - See all my reviews

South Africa's greatest 70s pop/rock band? Arguably, yes they were. Boasting the mercurial talents of Trevor Rabin who went on to become a member of prog legends Yes as well as a noted producer,as well as Duncan Faure who joined a later line-up of 70s teen idols the Bay City Rollers, the band was completed by bassist Ronnie Robot and drummer Neil Cloud. I remember seeing them live and witnessing something close to teen hysteria as they were at the time of this album, absolutely massive in South Africa. Consummate musicians and songwriters, the songs speak for themselves! My favourites include the title track, the beautiful 'Everybodys Cheating'and the genre breaking 'Tribal Fence' boasting the inimitable voice of Margaret Singana. This album is packed with great songs and tremendous memories of a fine band.Recommended!!
