I love this record and all of Pan American's output, off-shoot of Labradford, whom I have also long admired. It is very laid back, minimalist stuff,with guitars jangling over electronic drones. Not for everyone maybe, but on repeated listenings,the subtle and understated melodies permeat the brain and you find yourself trying to hum them out loud.
Very embarrassing! Might appeal to lovers of Eno,Harold Budd, Biosphere and Boards of Canada and other ambient music.

Each track from the latest release from Pan American is a subtle, voyeauristic tuning in and out of layed waves of sound over tuneful melodious backdrops.
With a more electronic sound than many other groups within the loose 'genre' Pan America have created an accessible record which i recommend to hardened fans and new comers alike. Although some may find thew lack of musical 'events' a cause of bordom, repeated listening is advised as is a dark atmospere and maybe a wee smoke or two.
