back in the old days bands used to release double A side singles all the time. usually it meant no filler and 2 killers. in this case, that's totally true. It is in fact the 2nd of the 2 tracks 'Sunshine' that is the real belter here. coming across like a hybrid of fugazi and hot water music but with their own london drawl evident to hear, these 3 minutes embody all that is great with the passion of great hardcore/punk bands. track 1 'Stories' is also very good, but has a little less conviction than 'Sunshine' - it's more song based.
in an age where hardcore is a phrase often misused, it's true roots lie in delivery and conviction and The Holiday Plan has the key elements in abundance. the vocalist has great growling cement mixer vocals reminiscent of grunge heroes Helmet - The Holiday Plan are very young, full of great ideas and definitely are a band will be important in years to come. the future looks bright, this single is cracking.

the holiday plan's new single is so awesome-totally! the lyrics have a special meaning to me and i can very much relate. stories/sunshine is a new direction and after seeing them rock the house at the oxford zodiac it has to be said- the holiday plan rule!
