Product Description
Album Description
In 1985 All About Eve released their first single as Sounds journalist Chris Roberts compared singer Julianne Regan to Kate Bush and describes the song as "a gouache Baltic ballad with stirring vocal interplay and a heart like a dynamometer."

Their second single 'In The Clouds' is released to unanimous critical acclaim. It's named Single Of The Week in Sounds. The next single 'Our Summer' is awarded Single Of The Week in Melody Maker. In 1987, All About Eve signed a deal with music industry giants Phonogram and set about writing and recording their first album. The album went double gold, selling in excess of a quarter of a million copies in a short space of time. It also spawned five hit singles, including the haunting acoustic ballad 'Martha's Harbour' which went Top Ten and spent over two months in the Charts. From such an incredible start the band eventually split in 1992.

In 2000 the band reformed and perform a sell-out Christmas 2000 show at London's Union Chapel. In December 2001, they repeated their sell-out of the Union Chapel, which has become an annual event.

The legendary Goth rockers have now returned with their first new single in over a decade. An extensive UK tour and a highly dedicated and devoted fanbase should see another Top 40 hit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sublime, 13 May 2004
By Platypus (Exeter, Devon) - See all my reviews
All About Eve are back on top form, riding high on the success of their recent UK tour. This single is so long overdue and their sound is built upon the cohesion found in their current lineup. Julianne Regan still fronts the group with her unmistakable, ethereal vocals whilst the band have "burned their acoustic guitars" and have developed a more solid, edgier, electric sound. The title track rocks, and "Let Me Go Home" should be everyone's evening drive time radio request. Hey, but why bother requesting it when you can just go out and but it for yourself. Along with a couple of title remixes this "maxi" format CD also contains the chilled "Aquamarina". Blissful.

"Their music could be different things for different people, it took on avariety of roles: passionate, sensual & romantic. It is also hard, biting& stunning." This new single is brilliant and deserves a place in charthistory. Welcome back 'THE EVE'S'

5.0 out of 5 stars Back with a bang, 12 May 2004
By A Customer
The first All About Eve single for... well, a long time. Four track CD1 opens with the single edit of Let Me Go Home, a pumped up offering hinting that All About Eve 2004 are a tougher beast than the band you might recall from days of old. If you dimly remember top 10 hit Martha's Harbour, and think that this might have a similar sound - forget it! There's no sign of an acoustic guitar anywhere near this song, but who cares. It's great. Play it loud for maximum effect. Track 2 is a gorgeous version of Aquamarina, a song that the band has only played live - although it's likely to be on the forthcoming album. This remix hints at how the album version may eventually sound, but probably offers a longer, more laid back take on the song. The remaining tracks are two very different mixes of Let Me Go Home, best discovered by the listener with with n-n-no advance warning of how they sound. So All About Eve are back, and it's a great single.
