Parts of the first track on 'Joy Shapes', 'Here, Not Here', sound like Labradford/Stars of the Lid/Pan American-style guitar ambience -- never 'chilled', but certainly sedated. Then there are bits that sound like the droney bits of Acid Mothers Temple. Then there are the vocals ... imagine Cotton Casino impersonating Diamanda Galas. And it goes on for 22 minutes.

You probably know by now whether you'll like this or not. I doubt you'll have heard anything quite like it, anyway.
